Mark Spiro is an iconic American Songwriter. He is an established award winning Producer, Recording Artist, and accomplished Musician, with a career that spans over two decades. Among his many accomplishments are 45 Gold and Platinum Records, and six solo albums. His songs and his productions have been represented on records that have sold over 100 Million units worldwide.
One of the first artists to be signed by Jimmy Iovine to Interscope Records, Mark’s early songwriting works appeared on films “Top Gun”, “True Romance; “Selena” (“Only Love” recorded by Selena) and ”Music From Another Room” (“Day After Day” recorded by Julian Lennon). Mark’s songs have also been featured in several Television series such as “One Tree Hill” on The WB Television Network. (Song, “Darling it was You”), “Marker” UPN (now the CW Network; 13 episodes Original Music. Show produced by Steven J Cannell), and “Fame” on MGM Television and was initially broadcast on the NBC television network in the US. (song, “Man in the Mirror”).
He is most recognized as one of the leading melodic rock songwriters in the United States, with songs recorded by such classic artists as Heart, Cheap Trick, Giant, Bad English, John Waite, Kansas, Reo Speedwagon, and most recently with Julian Lennon and Steven Tyler on Julian’s single “Someday” . In addition he has written for multi-platinum country artist, Lila McCann, and Latin Artists Luis Miguel and Emmanuel. In addition, he has produced songs on such artists as Anne Murray, Laura Branigan, John Berry, Mike Reno (Loverboy), Maria Conchito Alonso and brand new artist, Ruby Summer for Lyric Street Records.
At the April 6 session, Mark will talk about tips and trends for what appeals to music artist representatives as well as film and TV supervisors. He will address song structure, lyric a and melody development, and will listen to up to 20 member song submissions with an ear to providing constructive feedback with respect to potential placement. The evening will be entertaining and educational, and offer attendees the chance to connect with an heavily accomplished local writer and consummate professional.

Pitch fee is $10 per song for member and $20 for non-members, single song maximum per writer or writing team.
