Many of the venues may have closed or not hosting anymore. Metaphor Cafe in Escondido has changed hands 3 times in past 10 years, and has no open mic there. VFW in San Marcos also has no more open mic on Sunday 2-6. Swami’s in Encinitas started up again, Tuesdays 7-9, Kettle Coffee & Tea on Grand in Escondido (Across from O’Sullivan’s) has “originals only” open mic on Thursdays 6-8, and Tuscany in La Costa has a pro-jam on Thursdays, not sure of time.
